all other apps in my toolset seem to offer easier solutions to this problem. I'm currently trying to set up a few animated characters in LW for a rather simple architectural flythrough scene, but honestly i'm bumping against a hard wall. other FBX files seem to import with motions. My questions are: is it a bug in the FBX importer, or maybe a mac only issue or is it a special mixamo format incompatibility. i saved the motion from the mixamo site in default FBX format, but also the FBX for unity gives the same results. not sure if i'm doing something wrong, so please someone can try it out as well? also, maybe it might as well be a mac only issue.Ģ other apps in my toolset, MODO and C4D, import mesh and motion perfectly with default settings, no need to refine anything.įor the file, see attachment please. whatever options i set, when loading the FBX via 'load scene' in layout, i'm just getting no keyframes at all into the scene. unfortunately, i cannot get the animation into layout, while the mesh seems to load correctly. it is a free motion and a free mesh model (so there should be no problems to post it here) which i downloaded to see how these import into LW. Mixamo character animation makes it easy.Please have a look at this mixamo generated FBX file. You could photogram your own face, drop it onto the body of a Fuse character and then add mocap data in Mixamo. It would have been overkill here but exciting times ahead if fuse could also sync into photogrammetry techniques too.

In theory there’s no reason why we couldn’t have pre-modelled the footballer’s faces thus giving us an extra level of detail to create our hand-drawn animations from. It will be exciting to see Mixamo and the link with Fuse software develop. It’s obvious to see here how it was used on this animation.įor this Bundesliga winners video, we created a generic footballer character in Adobe Fuse and uploaded them to Mixamo.

We then use the animatic to help get sign off from clients before launching into hand drawn animation. Mixamo is so quick to use we’ve been using it to create animatics too. We downloaded the newly rigged characters from Mixamo as FBX files and pasted them back into our scene files.
